1860//1966 Extensive British West Indies collection balance, mostly used, mounted on quadrille pages in 6 binders and identified by both Scott and SG numbers. Extensively annotated with variety information and provenance where known. The QV issues are considerably above average and sport a wide range of nicely struck cancellations. Later sets include shade and perf varieties, blocks and pairs and each country ends with a group of cancellations for that country. Several stamps with certificates. Includes Antigua #1 with RPS certificate (some perfs improved), pairs and strip of 3 of early issues, some with A18 of English Harbor, 1903 set complete used, a group of LI used in Antigua, some better cancellations, with values through the KEVII 5/. Barbados early Seated Britannia issues nicely represented with several examples of perf and imperf issues, an unusually nice example of the 1873 3d and 1916 to end virtually complete plus nice dues and 4 Liquidation of the Empire German Propaganda Forgeries. Cayman Isl. includes first 2 KEVII sets complete plus shades, KGVI first set with numerous perfs and shades and complete to end. Dominica has strong QV, KGVI set with a myriad of shades and printings, and complete through 1966. Grenada starts with a beautifully struck A15 on GB 6d and 9 pairs of the ½d, 1d and 6d values, some varieties (missing “P” in “Postage”), tête-bêche pairs (5) and blocks of 4 (2) of the 1883 issue, a comprehensive study of the first KGVI definitive including 27 stamps and a block of 4 of the 10/ value. Montserrat includes QV 1d with inverted “S”, 1d bisect with BPA certificate, 1903-23 sets complete, KGVI complete with numerous shades. Comprehensive St. Christopher including Antigua with A12 cancellations (3). St. Lucia KGV 1936 set complete, each value on piece and a strong showing of the KGVI set. A very nice section of Virgin Islands with duplication in the earlies, 1899 and 1904 sets complete and complete from 1935 to end. An unusually nice collection. F-VF throughout. Includes Rhodesia & Nyasaland (over 125 stamps), Southern Rhodesia (450+stamps including numerous definitive sets, perf and shade varieties), and Northern Rhodesia (300+ stamps, KGVI 4 definitive sets, QEII sets to the 20/, blocks and cancellations). TRISTAN da CUNHA - GOUGH ISLAND Collection of over 50 items with covers, cards and Air Letters all franked with various values of the 1954 issue. Virtually all have boxed Survey cachet and include a number of registered items, one with pictorial cachet at left, others with map of the island and example of St. Mary’s School oval hs on back, a few with boxed “T” hs and ms value inserted, another autographed by members of the expedition; also group of 10 later items some with So. Africa adhesives with various ship cachets including SS Argentina, MV R.S.A. and MV Tristania, 1969 item from the Tristan Volunteer/Search Team/Gough Island signed by members of the team and with S.A.S.
